I will give credit to the filmmakers for trying to make something different by going to the old west instead of modern day Nevada, but this just didn’t work for me. There were fun things like making Chang’s store and other nods to things which happen in the other movies, but those novelties didn’t save what was ultimately a stale, boring movie. The humor fell flat and I just couldn’t get behind Michael Gross’s character being a wuss. Like every Tremors movie, they introduced a new monster. This one was not bad and came across as terrifying to the characters, but they were in a very small part of the movie. I will say I did like the name Dirt Dragon they gave to the Graboids. Overall, if you are binging the Tremors movies, you can skip this one and not miss out on anything.
