Because it is based on a Stephen King novel (that I never read) about a woman stuck handcuffed to a bed after her husband has a heart attack you know it will have some interesting things, but it wasn’t quite what I expected. I expected to see her try many things over and over to get free and perhaps some of them would be interesting, but the movie gave much more. It is more about how she struggles with accepting things from her past while she believes she is dying. This premise gives the story a lot of different ways to turn, but I wasn’t really a fan of where it went. I felt it dragged on a bit and when they tried to turn the story toward the end to make it more interesting, it went off the rails. I disliked the final act, and since the first couple of acts were somewhat boring, the film just fell flat for me. It did have some interesting parts and was barelly a bit above average.
I did find one line more amusing than I should have for some reason. “You have just lost your mind, but seeing a dog eat your husband will do that.”
