A typical modern R-rated comedy that despite trying in a couple of areas, never elevated itself above any that came before it. For an R-rated comedy I like for the jokes to be outrageous, but not only consist of jokes designed to disgust. I am not opposed to those types of jokes, but there needs to be others. This movie consisted of a fair amount of disgusting humor and those jokes that weren’t didn’t always live up to the bar. Jon Cena was funnier than I thought he would be, mainly because he was playing a character opposite of what you expected. When it comes to teenage partying comedies, I place things like Fast Times or Can’t Hardly Wait (I know it is an odd choice) as the bar and this didn’t live up to them and it wasn’t even close. The main actresses were fine and the primary one was a bit better than when she is in Supernatural, but they couldn’t save it. Also, most of the funniest jokes were in the trailer. In the end, it was an okay movie that wasn’t a waste of time but not worth seeing again either.
